The 9th edition of the LUCCA ART FAIR will be held in Lucca from September 26th to 28th.
I’m participating for the first time with my own booth, where I’ll be exhibiting my sculptures and some works by a friend with whom I often collaborate: Lorenzo Pallante.
The works will be made with various materials: terracotta, resin, bronze, and polyester foam, often mounted on wooden bases or contained in frames, cages, or wooden crates. There will be unique pieces as well as multiples made with molds.
The theme will be the same as that which distinguishes all my works: the relationship between humans and nature, and more specifically between humans and animals, including the relationship between humans and their animalistic side.
The attention paid to mythology in some of my works also stems from this particular perspective. In myths from all eras, starting with classical antiquity, animals have a prominent place. In the works I am presenting at this Fair, the figure of the Minotaur, around which many founding stories of Greek civilization, of which we are children, revolve, demonstrates this thesis.
